comment on what you think. it is prob an average PC for your everyday needs, I guess gaming in 1080p is fine because 4k is abit overkill and not really required. but damn, (custom) water cooling is EXPENSIVE. but if it wasn't custom, then you wouldn't be able to overclock. on the website it says that it should keep the pc (when overclocked i think) it will keep it a warm 30 degrees

not so. I overclocked my 8086k to 4.6 on the measly hyper 212 evo, and people break 5 on AIOs

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

er, oops I wrote it weirdly. I meant to say that it would (most likely) reach a temperature that I would rather avoid getting to because as you probably already know, the hotter it gets the faster it dies (stops working; breaks)

Are you gonna build this? With no monoblock, how high would you expect to get?

well, most likely not. this was just me attempting to make a parts list with a custom watercooler and i posted it so that other people can comment on it (e.g. what can be made better, or whatever)

Just going to point out that ~80c operation is fine for a CPU, even overclocked.

I have a 2500k and 2600k that lived at ~85c with a 1ghz OC for their entire lives and they are still functioning properly.

hm, according to what I have heard, different CPUs have different max temps, some higher and some lower. and I don't think that anything would stay fine after such high temps. and Linus said the problems with high temps here. but even though the max temp of this particular CPU is 100 degrees, I would still not be very comfortable with those high temps. and the hotter it gets the lagger it gets

Lag has nothing to do with temps as long as you are not hitting the thermal throttle point of the chip, which is ~90c.

Custom watercooling can get you better OC's, but for stock there is not much benefit other than being able to run without fans 90% of the time.  The pump still makes noise though.

If silence is not your absolute top priority, that is $700 down the toilet unless you are doing heavy overclocking with de-liding.

8700k+1070ti with water cooling vs 8700k+1080ti air cooled...

So, the 1080ti build would be way better ND cheaper....

If you are dead set on watercooling, you can get hybrid GPU's and an AIO for the CPU.

For a full custom loop you can also do it for significantly less than $600 ($400 with EKWB parts)... What parts are you buying for $600-$700?
