I use teracopy, it's popular but honestly I'm not impressed, had stability problems with it on my old Windows 7 PC, then again when I switched to Windows 10 and now on my new Windows 10 PC it still isn't as stable as I'd like it to be. I've googled stuff and looked at articles on the web but a lot of the software they mention seems to be out of development or the developer website looks unprofessional then that already puts me off the software. Heck I saw the word 'recored' on the easersoft website...and some list support for up to Windows 8 hence out of development as I said. I like that teracopy is a simple replacement for default Windows copy so I'd really like something like that with a simple interface that gives you more control too cuz some of the stuff I've seen on the web have terrible chunky interfaces that leave a lot to be desired.

Do you mean "copy" as in like drive cloning software, or something similar?

Copy-paste. I haven't ever felt need for more. Though for backupping purposes I have FreeFileSync as it can shows differences between files in subfolders at one glance.

If filemanager was only for copying few files, then I agree - it's waste of time.

But lot of useful functions makes good filemanager something more than just explorer replacement. It's always worth if you want to save time. Not only by copying process, but also by ever day use functions that are not present in Explorer.

I used to use Teracopy back when I was using XP and had excellent results using it it but found it would bog down on me when using it in Win 7 (and yes, I was using the latest versions) so I stopped using. I found FreeFileSync to work extremely well for copying large amounts of data (I had already been using it to backup data). In addition to posting a report of any files that failed to copy after it was, it also has a "hack" that instructs it to verify that files copied over correctly. While copying with FreeFileSync isn't as fast as Terracopy is supposed to be and the "hack" doubles the amount of time it takes to copy data, it's reliable and, once started, can run unattended while still being able to use the computer.

I do not use Win 10 (nor will I ever). Win 7 and Office 2010 are the last MS products I will ever use.
