Help with network switch

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

Does that device have a 10mbit only port? Try a differe4nce cable. Some switches have problems with one slower device.

Hi everybody,

I have an android box (G Box MX2) and my desktop (Windows 10) hooked up to a D-Link DGS 1005G switch so they can both be connected via ethernet. My problem is that when my android box is plugged in, my computers internet speeds severely drops. Usually i get 30 down, but it drops to 5. The manual says green means running at 100 mbps and amber is 10. The android box has an amber light while the ethernet input from my router and my computer have green. Is the android box bottlenecking everything or is the switch just not capable of handling both devices as full speed?

Any advice is welcomed.

Thank you!
