Nvidia Anti aliasing

Go to solution Solved by X1XNobleX1X,

So I just got my gtx 760 and the ingame  antliases settings have a mixture of msaa csaa 16xQ csaa.  Whats the diffrence between the two? I know that csaa is like the new aa or something like that. Can

MSAA= multi-sample anti aliasing

CSAA= custom sample anti aliasing

I believe that CSAA is the same as MSAA but they use a slightly more performance-oriented way to do it, at a slight cost of quality. Could be wrong though. IIRC, ATI is the only one with CSAA, so it may be more of a marketing thing than any appreciable difference to the other types.

msaa is better but cssa uses less memory buffer. Apparently you need to double the csaa to match msaa like 4x msaa - 8x csaa (all from internet posts) so msaa seems more demanding
