Alright so I have a second pc with windows 8.1 and I don't have the password for it and I want to keep the os on it, so then I was wondering if I plugged it into my main pc and ran it as a second HDD (not as a boot device) would i be able to access the HDD and delete the admin on it so I could make it mine, it was my neighbors he gave it to me after he got a new one and he doesn't remember its password.

Could you link me a tutorial for windows 8.1?

Its listed on that site, basically do this

]

  1. Get the machine to boot from the CD or USB drive.
  2. Load drivers (usually automatic, but possible to run manual select)
  3. Disk select, tell which disk contains the Windows system. Optionally you will have to load drivers.
  4. PATH select, where on the disk is the system? (now usually automatic)
  5. File select, which parts of registry to load, based on what you want to do.
  6. Password reset or other registry edit.
  7. Write back to disk (you will be asked)

What are you having a problem with?
