Hi Guys, apologies if this is posted in the wrong section but I’m having some trouble.

I’ve got a i5 4670k being cooled by a Corsair H110i gtx which is now about 3 years old. I’ve just moved it all over to my new case and I’m getting temps of 85-90 while gaming and it’s really really loud. I’ve checked the pump which seems to stay at about 2000rpm and is also getting as hot as 50c+ itself is this normal? I have re-applied the paste 3 times now making sure to use the correct amount and not to overload it I’m putting about a grain of rices worth. However still getting high temps. Any advice would be appreciated.

im idling at 43c-45c

prime 95 stress is about 85c-90c

Im thinking my cooler might be broken and not performing properly.

My build

corsair omega case

corsair H110i gtx 240mm rad (push/pull)

i5 4670k

nvidia GTX 1080ti

thabks Greg.

Temps way too high for a 4670k. It should perform better even on a stock cooler. My brother runs a 4690k @ 4.3Ghz on a Corsair H45 and it never really gets any hotter than 65c. I suspect your liquid might have been boiled and permeatet over time, especially since its three years old already.

This is most likely the issue^^^

AIO are great, until they stop working normally, and unless you can take it apart usually the only solution is a new AIO.

2-4 years seems to be the average before you get issues in performance ( noted from others comments/experience)
