Hello, I've come here today with an issue that I can't seem to wrap my head around, so I came here in search of support. What's happening is I load up a video and there's a black screen with other images on the corners. Every time I scroll down or up, it duplicates the image onto the video screen. If anyone could find a solution to this, I would greatly appreciate it, as I have to resort to using my phone or IPad.

I don't really have a fix besides see if there is an update for chrome and try a different browser.

But I do want to point out that it's ironic you're watching a video on how to fix black screen video, while having the black screen.

What else am I supposed to show? Hehe.

By "cannot play videos", you really mean "cannot play YouTube videos in Chrome"

  • Install the latest version of your graphics card drivers and restart, try that
  • Make sure Chrome is fully updated
  • Try a different web browser
  • Try a video file on your PC.

I've checked all of these, nothing seems to be working so far. But, I did find something. Apparently, I had "Use Hardware acceleration when available" on. Out of the blue, I decided to see if that would be a solution or not. I turned it off and tested a video. Everything works so far now, but I'll let you know if there are any other problems in the future. Thanks for your participation though.
