Utter garbage. $1000 for a quadro that old, Xeon processors that slow, only that much storage and only 16 threads? This is actually a monumentally bad deal.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

What are you using the system for? Thats a bad deal. Hunt on ebay, but this really depends on the use case.

I recommend a ryzen system from the ground up. You can get the same core/thread count, better ram, better storage, better everything for far cheaper.

Totally depends on the use case. Used systems are great if youneed tons of cheap ram(duall 2011 system can have 128gb+ of ram cheaply. You can also get a good amount more cpu cheaper in dual 2011 than ryzen depending on the program.

Then just get threadripper.

but then your paying much more. Used dual 2011 systems still have a place in the market. Ryzen isn't always the right cloise. The platfrom should be picked based of the usecase, so find the usecase. Don't just recommend ryzen.

My original link was to solicit feedback based on Linus's tried and true excel spreadsheet from junkyard wars. On my new link above could you beat this price point in your local area for Perfomance/Dollar ..How would this perform on standard benchmarks? Would a lesser spec system with a good video card smoke it?

I am not buying these systems but am curious about what we throw away and your thoughts on salvaging old hardware. Thanks to all that replied above and thanks in advance to any that reply below. :)
