I will be running this build and would like a recommendation for a pump or pump/res combo i have been looking at the ddc pumps with smaller res but dont know if the head pressure on that pump would be good enough.

there is a link to the build and to the res i want to use but i would like other recommendations

Any ddc or d5 will work. You only listed two parts that I can see watercooler wise. but I doubt youll have head pressure issue regardless of the parts.

Picking the parts like the pump and res depend on how you think you are gonna mount them and how much you have and how will flow with the loop.

the head pressure is  important if you will run multiple bends and restrictive cooling blocks.

DDC pumps spin faster (and louder)   also a heatsink to help keep the pump cool to ensure longer life is a common recommendation with DDC pumps , whereas d5 variant pumps are cooled by the water they pump (not adding a significant amount of heat to a loop in my experience) as run more quietly as the design of the pump allows more flow with less rpm.

DDC and D5 variants are the Most common used in custom loop cooling with many brands to choose from ( brand is less important than how much it will cost to get it to you (ie: EK branded are good if shipping/exchange isn't high for you)

i run swiftech d5 vario's and  never complained (one is over 8 years old soon)  Feedback on no-name and off brand variations are (barrow/blisky i think)   proves the point that D5 and ddc pumps perform accordingly, regardless of manufacture rebranding.

as for pump/res combo, it really depends on your  visual preference, there are options with pumps mounted to tube res' and 5.25 bay pump/res combo (like i have but i'm not sure if you can still buy new)

and acrylic/acetyl mod tops that allow pumps to be added in series.

Solid choices for this are hard to recommend, as they come in all sizes  that you can choose to fit your specific needs
