macOS lock screen issue

so i'm using an iMac at my internship, and it has a weird problem. 

 

if i lock the screen of it you can see very faint details of what's on the screen behind the lock screen. even text, so i can read my chrome bookmarks even though the screen is locked.. 

the second screen connected to the iMac doesn't do this, and my MacBook doesn't do it either...

nope. if i move chrome it moves with it on the lock screen...

just rebooted the Mac, still the same problem

it's not. during normal use i can't see it.

it's not mine. it's from the company where my internship is.

Man screw that, get a better internship ASAP and in the meantime just get a blanket to cover your screen or something

What kind of flaming hellscape is the Netherlands if the best internship on offer uses macs?

they don't. i asked them if i could use this, because i like Mac much better than Windows. and since they all hate Mac they let me use it.

Well I can confirm this problem. I think its burn in though. They have this problem on 5K iMacs at my college. When you log out you can still see you username at the top of the screen if you look closely. I think it was most obvious in dark areas. Not sure what it could be other than some sort of short term burn in. Could be a software issue but as it's MacOS you will just have to hope for a patch at some point. Not going to be much that you can do about it.
