8 or 16 GB for streaming?

Hi, i would like to save as much money as possible by buying 8gb of RAM but i would like to stream so would 8gb be enough or should i get 16?

If you can upgrade later then i would go with 8 first and see how it goes.

it also depends on what you are doing during the stream ofcourse

16 is what I would recommend for streaming. I stream regularly and I use upwards of 12-14gb when streaming. I have 32gb in my system.

100% go with 16GB especially if you use chrome browsers

So I have to agree with FastRDust, it does depend on your work load. If you do 1080p 30fps then 8gb of ddr4 ram should be good, but if you want 1080p 60fps or higher resolutions, then it's ideal for 16gb of ddr4 ram, but the can be lots of possibilities and factors with your performance. Such as, the cpu, graphics card, and motherboard. You should specify what is in your build for a better diagnosis.

You could technically just use NVIDIA ShadowPlay for streaming which shouldn't be a massive hit on system memory, but honestly... I'd rather just recommend going 16GB.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
