Advice on the build

Manicool

Hello everyone. Here is some info on the PC I am planning to build.
My budget for this build is between CAD 1500 to CAD 1900 including the monitor and peripherals
My aim for the PC is 1440p gaming, intensive programming, cadding, watching videos and university stuff.
I plan to run only one monitor. I want a monitor preferably 24" or bigger with a high refresh rate. I am open to suggestions.
I also need peripherals; keyboard, mouse, headphones.
Here are the PC specs I had in mind so far
CPU    :    AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core
CPU Cooler    :    Be quiet! – Dark Rock 4
Motherboard    :    Asus – ROG Strix B450-F Gaming ATX AM4
RAM    :    G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2 x 8GB DDR4-3000
Storage    :    Kingston – A400 2.5” SSD
Video Card    :    EVGA – GeForce GTX 1070 SC Gaming 3.0 Black Edition
Case    :    Fractal Design – Meshify C Dark TG ATX
Power Supply    :    EVGA – SuperNOVA G3 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX

MOST IMPORTANT POINT: I not going to be able to build another PC for another 5-6 years so I want to make this build futureproof and look as good as possible (*RGB*). I am probably going to put some money into the NZXT Hue+
Notes:
CPU: I originally planned on going with the Ryzen 5 1600 but choose the 2600 for better performance. I also debated on getting Intel 8700/8700K for gaming but choose Ryzen for multi-core performance.
CPU Cooler: I am going to be overclocking the CPU and heard that the stock cooler sucks for 2600. I also liked the matte black finish, thought it would go well with RGB. I thought about AIO cooler but the budget was an issue.
Motherboard: I picked it because B450 boards are optimized for Ryzen and it looked "cool".
RAM: RGB Memory.
Storage: I already have 3TB hard drive, I got it for a nice deal on amazon prime day where I will install all the games and use the SSD as a boot drive.
Video Card: I thought about going with a 1060 but I entertained the possibility of getting a second monitor after a couple of years so I stuck with 1070.
Case: This was a hard decision. I was stuck between the Meshify C and the S340 elite. But since I went with air cooling I wanted good airflow and ended up choosing the Meshify C.
Power Supply: nothing much to be said.

So any advice or better parts is appreciated. Some suggestions for monitor and peripherals is needed.

If you really like rgb, you can get peripherals from Corsair with rgb lighting. If you really wanted to go crazy, you could get the Lighting Node Pro to sync your peripherals and case lights patterns.

From what I read it's better for you to go with  MSI B450 Mortar for it's better VRM.

I would rather get a 1080 or a 1070ti for long term use. And they're cheaper now especially with people reselling their used ones.

On the other hand, u'd be better off with a bigger PSU.

Also look for a Thermalright Macho cooler, they're fat and $50 or less

Alright thank you @Streetguru. I'll look into a cheaper option

@mikedrewsmy the rgb looks great

A used 1080 works better in the long run. I'll probably go with that

Any monitor recommendations within the budget

Probably just grab a 4k monitor for productivity

what's the budget for it? Wouldn't bother with just a 1440p 60hz monitor

if not that get a 1080p 144hz monitor for gaming.
