CPU bottlenecking graphics card

Hi everyone, first post here hehehe

 

I want to ask you guys, will the CPU I have which is Core 2 Duo E7400 2.80 GHz bottleneck GTX 1050? It's pretty outdated I know but I'm concerned about this, I'm in between GT 730, 1030 and GTX 1050 or 1050Ti but the bottlenecking thing is important.

Bottlenecking isn't a concern in your case.  Get the 1050, then build the rest of the system up to it's level over the rest of the year.

 

Of you get a matching GPU, you're going to have a nicely balanced useless machine you have to throw away and start all over.

 

I wish folks would stop the bottlenecking thing and actually watch Linus's entire video.

Get Q6600 CPU from Ebay for $10 and buy a 1050ti and youre good.

BS, the 7400 is complete and utter garbage and will Bottleneck the 1050 like hell!

 

A Q6600 like already mentioned is a very good buy

even a q6600 will bottleneck.

 

OP: you should probably look for a kaby lake pentium used. that will help alot.
