Which is better- A R5 1600 and a 1070Ti or a R5 2600X and a 1080? Considering all the other components are same!

    • R5 1600 and 1080 OC (Zotac AMP Edition)
    • R5 2600X and 1070Ti Founder's Edition (No aftermarket stuff)

I am really confused whether to get a stronger cpu or stronger gpu

I have the following options :-

1. A 1070 Ti Founder's Edition with a Ryzen 5 2600X

2. A 1080 Zotac Amp Edition OC with a Ryzen 5 1600 (Not 1600x)

I am planning only to play AAA games at 1080p, please help me decide because on internet, there is not much!

Why not just a 2600 with some overclocking?

Either way, for 1080p I would go with the 1070Ti as it will perform well and can be overclocked to match a 1080 if needed.

Then I would go with the 2600X and GTX 1070Ti

I've heard bad things about the Zotac AMP edition cards with regards to VRM and whatnot for overclocking so I would avoid them.

The 1080 can be EVGA also, it is 20 $ cheaper

EVGA is much better than Zotac in every way, but which exact model?

I would go with the 1600 + 1080, and wait for Zen 2 if you think a 1600 isn't enough for you later down. A 1600 will be perfectly fine with a 1080, though.

What's inside my PC: Ryzen 5 1500X - RX 480 4GB - 8GB DDR4-2667 - Be Quiet! Pure Power 10 400W PSU. And a loada RGB.
(Not really. I just have a few fans.)

So you're with 1080 right?

EVGA 1080, not Zotac 1080
