Don't know CGWatcher, I suggest you run cgminer. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube.

In terms of KHs no, the R9-290 is not the "best" there. Its the 7990. Wich is basicly 2x a 7970.

After some googling, cgwatcher seems to be to be a lot like guiminer, just use guiminer if you want to not use cgminer.

You dont want to CF at all when mining. But like, ofcourse having 4 gpu's mine is good? Like.. what do you want us to say here? If it's better then 3 gpu's? Sure it is. (as long as we are talking about the same card)

Just make sure you have enough power to put 4 cards on the PSU.

Best mining rig is cheapest cpu that fits on your mobo, cheapest hdd/ssd, 2/4gb of cheap ram, a decent mobo that has enough pci-express lanes for your needs, a plat psu that has enough power for your gpus. a free os like linux or ubuntu (i dont know wich works best for mining) and then 13 GPUs (think that was the max amd can allow you;p) on that motherboard. Put that all in a milk crate or 2/3 that looks anything like this:

milk%20crate%20mould-04.jpg and put this next to it 42-Volume-Air-Blower.jpg

And tada - there is your "best mining rig" ?

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Build Log: Phantom - Antique Noctua

download cgminer 3.7.2  and get the newest cgwatcher 1.3.4 I think.

I had issues until I downloaded the new cgwatcher version.

make sure you set the cdminer path in cgwatcher settings.

set your profiles up and mine....

I also got the cg remote beta and it is awesome for multi rig setups and remote monitoring/control. If you have cgwatcher running on a rig, it works even better and simpler.

cgremote totally is making me want to build like 10 rigs lol
