New Gaming Build

I live in the U.S. and I'm planning a new gaming pc build. I'm looking to spend 1500 and I am willing to go over for performance. I'm going to be using it strictly for gaming. I want to be able to run modern demanding shooters and sandbox games and at a high FPS (big Fallout fan) and would like to be able to stream if it's in the budget but it's not important. I want 4k gaming but if my budget wont support it I'm okay with that. I'm just going to be using one monitor, I'm okay with a 1080p 144hz and freesync would be pretty cool. I need a keyboard and an OS, I have a mouse already. I'm upgrading because I've wanted a gaming beast since high school but could never afford it. I'm currently running a ROG STRIX GL703VD gaming laptop which, as a gamer/creator is PERFECT for working on the go and is a rendering beast for how tiny it is. And when work the work is done, or I need a break, I can load up any of my favorite games and play them at high settings. However,  with a few of my games, like Fallout 4, it's hard to hold 60fps if I even get there at all. I have an editing/portable gaming pc. I need a FPS monster for when I'm home and comfy and need that extra edge without compromising graphics.

Sorry, a bit misleading. Just gaming, I already have a rendering rig. And I need a keyboard, monitor, and OS in the budget. No mouse.

Going to want a Ryzen 8 core for streaming

GTX 1080 can do like medium-high 4k well enough

get a case with airflow for sure.

either get a 4k IPS free-sync display or 1080p 144hz Free-sync display, G-sync isn't worth it.

If your going to go Free sync might as well go with a GPU that will benefit from it. At 1080p gaming the CPU becomes way more important anyway.

Cool, thanks for the list. I have a question about the graphics card. Because of the new RTX graphics cards, will we see a drop in price in 1080's? If so, should I wait a few months before I get a GPU? Or is it going to take a long time before we see a price drop?

You might be able to find a used/miner GTX 1080ti for around $500 by then, maybe...probably not because the RTX pricing is really dumb and didn't properly replace the cards at the same price points.

You'll see a pop-up in used 1080s but I don't think prices of new 1080s from mainline sellers will drop that much.

Cool, You guys have been a huge help. This is my first build. Like I said earlier, my only machine is a gaming laptop I bought partly for video editing and a as portable as possible work station.
