General opinion on MSI GeForce GTX 1080

sluz

Hey,

Does anyone here have this https://www.alzashop.com/msi-geforce-gtx-1080-gaming-8g-d5325370.htm?o=1 card? What are your experiences with it, and generally with msi cards. My friend had an msi gtx some years ago and it was troublesome in many ways (both fans died, some voltage problems...), so I'd like to get as much info of said card as possible to avoid potential problems.

The price on this one seems reasonable and within my budget (1080 ti sadly a bit too expensive).

Tnx

The card is insanely popular and runs great. MSI generally does extremely well in what they produce. But do not just take my word for it, look at reviews here:

Don’t care much for their products as a whole.

Card doesnt look great so I tend to avoid them. If it’s the cheapest option then go for it.

Looks are subjective. There is someone who says it looks like a space ship engine in sexy red, so again, down to opinion. I have seen some bad looking cards and this isn't "bad".
