Samsung 970 Evo is not reaching full speed?

Pavilion

I don't know why but this is my second Nvme Samsung drive. For some reason, the drive is only reaching 1600 MB Read & Write max, my other drive on a different computer is reaching 3400 MB Read and 2900 MB Write? any idea what's affecting the speeds?

AMD Ryzen 1700x

Asus Crosshair VI Hero

GTX 1070

16gb RAM 2333Mhz

500gb Samsung SSD

Windows 10 & Linux

it's Gigabyte X470 Gaming 7 Wifi with Ryzen 2700x, the firmware is already on the latest version.

Did you see what happens when you switch the slots yet?

I used the smaller slot not the bigger one because the heatsink will fit better with the smallest slot. If I changed the slot will this affect the speeds? or they are basically the same?

Just see if it runs at full speed in a different slot, one of the slots might run through a chipset or something and be a bottleneck.

Ryzen CPUs have 20 PCI-e slots, + 4 from the chipset I think

Just do one at a time probably and see if they run full speed in the known good one's slot first.
