does having a weak cpu affect my performance

i currently have a very weak  pc with a i3 4150 and i am getting a gtx 1050ti does not having a great cpu affect my gaming performance ?

If the CPU can't keep up with the GPU, then depending on the application yes, it can bottleneck your performance.  That's just in general terms.  However, you've got an ok CPU for low-mid-end gaming and a GPU that's good for low-mid-end gaming.  It's not a terrible pair.

Depends on the game, but in your case the bottleneck is not that severe.

What is your budget and region? There are a lot better cards to get for the same or cheaper (on the used market)

 

Have a look for a R9 290x. Keep in mind you need a good PSU for this

There will allways be a bottleneck. Its the nature of hardware. Bottlencks change between games and settings even. Dont worry about it. The CPU isnt the greatest, but it will work nicely.

ty i can barely afford the 1050ti i will look at the 290

hd 7970 will also be a good fit. its a bit slower than the r9 290x. maybe the r9 280x is also a choice. though its a bit slower than the 7970
