On a serious note, your build plan is great. The thing I would change is getting Arctic MX-4 and not the Arctic Silver 5, I've used both and the MX-4 is far superior.

It would be a great choice to sell your Alienware and buy a new system.

ok i will possibly depending on how much on ebay i could get, new is 1900 but i am looking to sell 1700-1600

Stock intel cooler or stock cooler that came with the prebuilt? Have you tried cleaning the cooler of dust?

What's the system model name?

Why replace the psu?

And there's your problem. 8700 has some voltage issues, so it probably uses way too high voltage when you stress it. There's easy fix by setting manual voltage. This can be done on locked chip as its only multiplier which is locked. You could even do some OCing with locked chip by manipulating base clock.
