Tx Power adjustment?

Go to solution Solved by LAwLz,

Tx = sending a signal.

Increasing it will increase the strength of the signals you send. If you don't get the speeds you want/expect then you can try increasing the output wattage.

Noob question here:

So I got the ASUS PCE-AC66 PCI-E Adapter wireless thingy and in the utility that comes with it has a Tx Power Adjustment config setting.

The default is 80 mW, and I am about 10 meters away from the router, and behind three walls (corner room). It goes down to 10 mW and up to 200 mW for both the 2.4G and 5G bands.

What would the optimum settings be for the wireless adapter?
