Yes u could move the storage device inside the laptop to a new PC but It wouldn't activate with the new PC as the original license  is a OEM license is not able to be transferred to new hardware and u would have to get a new license as the original is non transferrable

  U can transfer it to a new hardware if you  purchased the Retail Version of the OS.

If it comes with the laptop, most certainly it's an OEM in which u can't transfer.

New versions of Win10 allows you to made hardware changes even if you have OEM, as long as you have your win10 account linked to microsoft account. I see no reason why it should not work if it's prebuilt - you paid for it anyway and it's your OS. The only you may need is to extract license key (there are programs for that). I think it may work.

Depends on the manufacturer of the hardware though but yes sometimes it does work
