NZXT Kraken G10 Compatibility

So I was looking to get one of these to pair with a Corsair H50 that I have lying around, and I was wondering if it would work with my 7970. I noticed that it said "* Some variations in AMD die height may require the use of a shim." What does this mean and what is a shim? Also, does it matter if the PCB is reference or not in order to mount the G10? My 7970 model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127732

I'm not too sure about this. I'd post the question to NZXT's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/nzxtcorp?ref=br_tf

I don't remember my password and I'm too lazy to make a new one. Could someone do it for me?

Alright--posted it.

I believe the reference 7970s have 3 GB of memory. I want to say the G10 is compatible with your card, with that in mind, but NZXT has only tested it with reference cards. If a service rep answers and isn't certain, at least you'll have my confidence.
