Iphone battery problems

I'm using a iphone 5s and battery levels are very inconsistent. I facetime with a battery level of over 50% and in less then 15 minutes, it dropped to over 30%. Then it proceeded to drop to 10% and finally died in less than 15 minutes. I plugged it in to charge and in less than 5 minutes, the battery level is up to over 30%. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I'm guessing it's the battery problem but i'm unsure.

Replace the battery. It's not that hard and it costs like £20 for a kit

It most likely is. My mother's 6s+ was having similar problems and it was fixed with a new battery.

If you can't find a battery for a good price, look on Aliexpress and buy the one with the best customer reviews, Like this one.

They'll ship it basically anywhere.
