Bought a new system recently with a Asus Sage X299 and Core i9 (16 cores) and a Thunderbolt EX3 card.

I got a Thunderbolt 2 drive with a Thunderbolt 2 to Type-C thunderbolt 3 adapter. The drive starts up when attached but nothing shows in Windows 10.

I cannot find the card in the device manager and I've enabled Thunderbolt in the Bios settings, chosen the only available option in that menu (I've got the Titan X on the first slot, which blocks the second slot so the third slot is the one with the EX3 card)

When I try to update through the driver updating software found on Asus drivers page, I get an error message

I'm not sure how to solve this?
