I'd personally go for a Corsair RM750X 80+ Gold fully modular.

A 650w would suffice but I would get a 750w instead for more breathing room.

Corsair RM750x should be great. (Some say corsair quality is crap)

Because corsiar has made some crap psus

This is mainly the VS series now, the CX series was updated and I think they are using a new supplier (no pun intended). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah the corsair cx-m Gray label should be much better compared to green label ones.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

550W is plenty.

The G2 550W is available for $50, which is a decent price for it. The Formula 550W $63 if you won't use rebates. For higher end ones, there's the Whisper M and RMx 2018.

If you want a PSU that's as loud as possible, there's the EVGA G3 and Seasonic Prime Gold/Platinum.

Corsair hasn't made any PSUs.

The old CX was CWT, the new ones are also CWT, and GW for some of the CX450s.

what is a good power supply capable of overclocking (to the max) pc part picker list:https://pcpartpicker.com/list/28gXV6

p.s. i would appreciate your thoughts on the list

Wait for reviews on the 2080 ti before pre ordering. Also get a G-Sync monitor to make use of the Nvidia gpu.

I would personally go with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste over Arctic Silver.

A 1080 Ti and 8700K, without OC, will demand maybe 300W. With OC can get up to maybe 450W.

You'd be fine on a 550W unit or 650W unit if you OC super heavily and have a lot of hard drives.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
