So i'm planning to build a ryzen build with gtx 1050 ti and 8gb of 2666 ram but it the ram good enough for my build ps: i already ordered the GPU

2666 should be good enough for the midrange ryzen cpus.

Seems fine. You can probably OC the RAM anyway. 2800 is actually the range that both Ryzen & Intel hit highly diminishing returns. (Unless you're rocking a 1080 Ti and a highly OC'd CPU.)

But yes dual channel is a lot better than single channel.

Hmm... for a 4c part it doesn't really matter. (Matters a LOT for an APU, but that isn't what you're buying.)

Just go for the 2666 mhz kit if you want, there really isnt any performance difference.

Yes. You're buying a 4 core/4 thread CPU. Single Channel is fine. 

 

If you go up to 6c/12t, though, you would really want dual channel.

Some testing with a Ryzen 1400 and a similar GPU. You're looking at between a 1-5% hit on the situations where memory is thrashed the most. For only 4 cores, Single Channel is fine. For the 6 or 8 core parts, dual channel is all but necessary.

of course, just as the second gen ryzen is supported on first gen mobos.

Just the second gen motherboards have more features and better vrms, especially the msi ones.

Yes. First Gen motherboards support 2nd gen CPUs, though there can be some issues with older BIOS not being up to date enough to boot. (Which requires either the AMD Boot Kit or another Ryzen part to boot with.)

so i guess i'll go with the 300 mhz and when i upgrade to 1700 or a 2700 then i'll buy a good pair of 16gb 3000 mhz ram modules

Whatever you're most comfortable with. We generally recommend Dual Channel, just as it makes future upgrade costs cheaper, but single channel, for your build, is more than great.
