All lights on pc on but not on keyboard m ouse and monitor

ThatFrizie

Heya everyone my pc was working fine and i decided to buy a s340 elite.

I moved it to the s340 elite and i added cablemod cables and corsair node pro.

And when i was done with moving the parts the lights turned on and all the fans.

So i moved it to my setup and my monitor keyboard mouse and audio interface are all not on/working/lighting up.

What could be a fix?

PC specs:

I7 8700

1x 8gb Ballistix Elite 3200MHZ

MSI Gaming Trio RTX 2080

G650M PSU

120gb Kingston SSD

3TB of HDD

NZXT S340 elite Black/Red

Try without the cablemod cables.

Does it even post? If not, I would try a different PSU altogether. I've had units suddenly be unable to power on systems other than lights and fans.

EDIT: by "suddenly" I mean one happened overnight, the other happened after a reboot.

I recognize that from your post.

I said to try a different PSU, such as a friend's unit.

Clearly not everything connected to it works if you're not getting power to your peripherals.

As I explained in my first post:

Your PSU may be unable to power on your system beyond the fans and LEDs. I speak from personal experience when I say a different PSU is likely to fix your problem.

What does it say when you try to start Windows?

I get into an infinite cycle of bsod’s.

It starts with an error saying that windows has failed and that i can start normally or i can do the troubleshoot thing. The the troubleshoot thing just loads and then i get a bsod. And when i select boot normally it bsods too. I really don’t know how to fix this but my keyboard mouse and monitor are working fine.
