Single cup headset for WoW

I'm looking for a single cup headset with an USB connection so i can talk to my guildies :D

I used a pone headset (with the in ear plugs) for a while and that worked perfectly, and with one earpiece in i can still hear my surroundings.

But the mic is really bad so i'm looking for a better solution. Thing is when i search for it, i only find "high end" gaming headsets which are to expensive for just speech and i really just want 1 cup.

Was thinking about an office one, but there are too many to choose from. Anyone here has a good suggestion?

Price range would be 50-70 Euro's and in The Netherlands.

Have you considered open back headphones and a separate mic? 50-70 euro is fairly cheap to get great audio and a good mic, but you can get good audio and a cheap mic for that. Something like the Philips SHP9500 or the Superlux 668, Evo, or even the 681 (but replace the earpads). The superlux are all semi-open, so will block out some of the surrounding sounds though.

An open back headphone will still allow you to hear everything around you, but also will provide audio that is really enjoyable.

As for mics, a cheap lav mic will still probably land you in-budget if you need one. Loathe as I am to suggest one (I work for ModMic, which is out of your price range) I'd start by looking at the Sony ECMCS3 or the Zalman ZM-1.

As an audio guy I simply can not recommend a single ear headpiece for anything other than torturing yourself.

@AAJoe @Captain Chaos

I didnt make it very clear in my post. But i intend to use them for speech only. Game sounds/music will come through my speakers.

Think of it as a skype headset then anything else.

Thats also why i need it to be USB so i can setup the speech though it only.

So why not just buy a good USB desktop mic? Saves you the discomfort of having something on your head, will produce better quality audio (which is more important for your friends of course since they have to listen to you), and won't break the bank.

Once again, loathe as I am to suggest it, Blue makes several good USB mics that fall into your price range that would fit this goal. Most notably of course the Snowball.
