I am building a new computer for light gaming, video editing, and schoolwork on a budget and the ryzen apus look very appealing because I can use that now and upgrade to better hardware as I get more money. I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse. I am trying to decide between two of the build and is looking for value for money. Is it worth it for the 2400G and what changes would you make to the current build. Here are the links: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HRjmmq and https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6KHddX

Thank you

Unless you plan to store large files, you shouldn't need the HDD, which could save $40, but you may end up spending that on a 512 GB SSD over the 256. I have a Ryzen mobile laptop for schoolwork, and I only have about 50 GB of free space on my 256 GB SSD. The only things I have on my computer are Dell and Windows bloatware as well as a small Steam library worth of games. I have found the Vega 8 APU graphics to be rather capable, being able to play Fortnite at around Medium settings at a solid 30 FPS (yes it is low, but this is not a gaming rig, it is an APU). Other games such as War Thunder are also totally playable. I personally would go for the 2400G for an extra $50 over the Ryzen 3 due to the multitasking it offers.
