So my corsair RM650i has 2 ports for 8pin cpu cables, but it only came with 1x cpu 8pin power cable. So right now it is fine, but if i wanted to use threadripper in the future, then i would need both 2x 8pin cables for the mobo.

So where would i find the missing cable, where can i buy it or? Do i need to contact corsair support, or can i buy it somewhere?

I only see your reply if you @ me.

As mentioned above it only has 1 for EPS. Though it has 3 8 pins on the PSU, 2 of those are for PCIe.

the corsair rm650i doesn't come with 2 EPS connectors. it comes with one 4+4 connector

It has 3 8pin ports, and any of the 3 ports can be either used for a cpu 8pin or a gpu 8pin. (so either 2x pcie 1x cpu or 1xpcie 2xcpu)

So my question now is, where can i buy an extra cpu 8pin cable, because i dont need 2gpus, but having an powerful cpue would be nice.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

I found that someone, who had the excact same problem, and then contacted a psu manufacturer, and got an extra 8pin sent to them for free, but they had seasonic psu.

How is corsair support compared to seasonic?

A single 8 pin EPS can deliver up to 288 watts of power, so I really doubt you're gonna need a 2nd.

But why do the threadripper motherboards have 2x8pin?

Does the 1950x even boot with 1x 8pin cable?

to my understanding an EPS connector isn't the same as an pcie power connector. so i don't think you are able to do it, but maybe i'm wrong

Yeah you can boot with a single 8 pin, but I think that depends on the motherboard.

They come with 2 because when OC'ing they use alot more power, and need a 2nd EPS.

if i can freely change the cpu and gpu 8pin cable locations on the psu, i would assume i could

Contact corsair and ask them for a cable.

Problem solved.

Pretty much all the corsair psus have the 8 pin layout like that.

Yeah, thats the plan, but i must create an corsair account for that.

Sorry wasn't able to respond sooner.  The RM650i only includes (1) EPS 4+4 connection for the CPU.  You can run additional cables in any of the 8pin ports.  Cables are available through the website, and the correct one is in the link below.  I unfortunately don't have access to create accounts as I'm in a different department, but if you need assistance in creating it, you can call our customer support at 1-888-222-4346.   Let me know if you have additional questions and I'll help you out.
