Would this cause bottlenecking?

I actually have an i5 6600, and I am planning to buy a 1080, but I don't know if the cpu can bottleneck the gpu. 

In the case that the cpu bottlenecks, which processors would be good for less than 330 euros?

I would throw an i7 6700k in your current rig (if you have an z170 mobo)

I am waiting for them, but for watching the 1080 prize dropping lol, they will be expensive probably and a 1080 is still a monster

i agree even tho i doubt you will get a great bottleneck with your current cpu

At 1080p 144hz the 3.3ghz clock speed will be a big bottleneck, but at 1080p 60fps or at higher res it isnt a bottleneck anymore.

yeah you are probably right does @Origami Cactus think he will get the same bottlenecking with the 6600k?

if he has a z170 motherboard, he could overclock the 6600k to 4.8ghz, at which point it isnt an bottleneck.

so replying to the op wihout changing your mobo if you can a 6600k (if you has a good cooler and want to oc) or a 6700k

I was planning to make an entire new computer basically, and if my 6600 bottlenecks, thing that from what I read of you guys is a yes, I would prefer to upgrade to an i7, or even try amd

in that case you can get an 8th generation (8600k 240 euro  or even an 8700k 330 euro)  processor but with the price of a z370 mobo you will exceed your price tag of 330 euros

The price is only for the cpu, no problem in buying a different mobo

than 8700k is perfect you will get 6 core 12 threads for multi-thread task a high-frequency game.

it is the go-to for pc gaming
