Windows acts up sometimes

Hello!

I've noticed recently that Windows has been acting up a bit. Discord's been restarting every 15 minutes or so and some applications decide to stop working and go black for a few seconds (funnily enough, it happened right when I was writing that, and it's only happened 2 times in the last hour or so). This all started when i ran a PS1 emulator (PSXeven) with "run bios" and it just randomly decided to change the screen resolution to a very low one (Only fit 1/4th of the start menu, so probably pretty small) and came back on. And now, as i am writing this, Chrome has stopped giving sound and gone black three times, every 15 seconds (???).

 

What's gone wrong???

I think its to do with a windows update.

 

Im also having stuttering issues with mouse pointer and running videos and my windows apps and windows store refuses to work so when i have some time im gonna do a wipe and reload.

I didn't run a Windows Update recently and everything started happening today.

Though, if a program crashes that spectacularly that other programs start crashing and it literally changes the screen resolution to like nothing for a second, people would probably go here and ask why.

Not a program you can install, and it isn't running right now.

Right now everything seems to be stable, just seems like it crashed pretty spectacularly.

After all, using an emulator from 2005 isn't always guaranteed to give a good result.
