its overclockable, but i have no idea what you're doing getting an $83 120mm AIO and absolutely lowest-end PSU for a high-end rig.

and that means...? just about all those people either give 5-star ratings for it working for 10 seconds or absolutely nothing because it came in dead. the BR is made with low-end components that are only good for an office rig.

well, i heard ram doesn't effect performance much

That's wrong. Look up actual testing results

And how many of those were actual reviewers the tested the regulation, ripple and transient response with a load tester and an oscilloscope? None? How many have checked the components? None? How many have got any clue at all about PSUs? None?

ryzen 7 2700x is actually a good cpu, and i will be doing core-intensive tasks like using VMs

Then get the 2700. It's the same thing, just with a lower stock clockspeed.

:)

just take the build i listed above, you just swapped the PSU out for something just as crappy.

Nope.

Don't skimp out on the psu. The Seasonic in Hermans build is much better quality although you will probably be fine with a 550W. Also 120mm/140mm AIO coolers are mostly overpriced considering you can buy an air cooler for less that will perform as good/better. If you want an AIO then go with a 240mm/280mm.

And why a GTX 1080 ti with a crappy 75Hz 1080p monitor ? That is a big waste of money right there. You want a 1440p G-Sync to make full use of the gpu. I wouldn't buy a 1080 ti anyway with the new gpu's so close to release. You might have to wait a couple of months but it should be worth it.

Do you need W10 pro ?
