uhm no, I've seem some metal boxes like this: http://www.schiit.com/products/sys but I have 3 cables coming out from my speakers, right now all the 3 cables goes to the PC but now that I'm installing directv with the projector, I want to be able to use the speakers there too, I need an option to disable the speakers from the PC and enable them in the projector

Edit: the projector will connect to the directv box via HDMI, I'm not sure if there's a way to use the HDMI to transmit the audio signal to the speakers I saw this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073TTS9QG/?coliid=I1UMFTVUEQD2ZR&colid=2UVFJ8LS1OKRR&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&tag=linus21-20 but I have no idea of how it works

you would need a hdmi IN to 3.5/HDMI out splitter. your pc will not allow you to just pass the HDMI to your speakers. you may than put a 3.5 selector switch so that you can turn off input to speakers from pc or dish

lets forget about HDMI then lets leave that for video only, what if I connect an RCA cable to the projector for the audio where could I connect the other end so I can use the speakers?

I have not found any HDMI splitter or "audio extracter" that pulls out more than just stereo.

I have seen some that extract S/PDIF, but I don't know if that supports Dolby Digital or anything.

Then you might be able to run it through this = https://www.amazon.com/Panlong-Audio-Digital-Decoder-Converter/dp/B00AMC2J1Y#customerReviews

Or maybe your Projector/DirectTV box just has SPDIF output, which should support Dolby Digital n such.

I'm not sure I'd recommend that exact one I posted, it was just the first one I found.
