so im not very good a this but i think my cpu might be bottlenecking my gpu currently i have an i5-6500 and a 1070. I played some doom while recording the usage with afterburner.

this looks fine. as long as you are getting the framerates you want and there is no exessive stutter or whatever then its fine.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

It's true that the CPU is working harder than the GPU, but it is not PEGGED at 100% during game play.  Doom is a well optimized game that runs well on just about any modern system.  If you try running something more CPU bound (PUBG, Ashes, Warhammer etc) you might see some issues.

What resolution do you have?  What Ram?

seems about right, the 6500 does hold the 1070 back a bit, but make sure you are running the same settings before you compare any framerates.

@syn2112 about 150ish
it seams the issue really only runs into v poorly optimized games and since installing that mod for mhw it runs a bit better. I think i might just upgrade to wither a 8600k for a 8700k and at that point my gpu will be causing the bottleneck but when i decide to upgrade it later on i wont need to do a rebuild
