I would imagine it is but I'm no expert.  That's also a pretty good unit so it would be unlikely, but that said, unlikely things do still happen.

What do you mean kill over and over? Isn't dying a one time thing?

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Is it an instant death when you plug everything in and power it up?

Or does it take a few weeks/months?

Probably 2-5 mins.

My first two GPUs died as soon as I loaded into FFXV (I was able to play it fine on my first GPU for about 5 hours or so). My second died while i was messing around with the Yakuza 0 graphic settings.

Poor GPUs :c

That is fully modular is it not? Maybe it was a bad cable for the gpu. Have you tried using another cable?

Yup, that's what i'm going to try when I receive my replacement. I also replaced the PSU since my last GPU had smoke coming out of one of the vents.

Possibly. The PSU might have a bad PCIe power delivery.

Every component of PC gets same 12V from PSU, so pretty darn hard for PSU to kill only graphics cards.

Unless those graphics cards are lot more sensitive than other parts.

If you use cables that didn't come with the PSU, you could definitely kill the GPUs.

Pretty much only results from wrong cable wiring would be wrong polarity or mixed wires causing short.

Both of them wouldn't work at all with no booting from PC, or possibly instant burning of something.

Hopping on here because I might be having a similar problem but not sure what's causing it.

Built a completely new system with a new monitor last April, with an asus rx570 and a Thermaltake London PSU.

I've had the GPU die on me twice since then, the first time was after about a month or two of use, the second time about a week after I received the replacement.

Both times it just shut down instantly while gaming.

The weird thing is, that the pc has been working fine with my old graphics card (amd 5850) installed during the month I didn't have the 570 (yay foreign shipping...)

The only 'suspicious' thing was that sometimes the screen might go dark for about a second or so randomly.

So now I have no clue what's causing the dead gpu's, the psu or the screen? It might be difficult to RMA them if I can't really recreate the problem

Hmm...I don't think I ever heard of a monitor killing a GPU so i'm going to bet that it's the PSU. Although when my original GPU died my monitor refused to work with DVI/HDMI but VGA worked fine...but the monitor is from 2012.
