Low FPS

iTakeThings

So I have a liquid cooled 4790k MSI Z97 gaming 5 mobo 16gb ddr3 ram and a MSI Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb card and for some reason I’m only getting around 40-50fps playing destiny 2 on medium settings. Is this normal?

Based upon a number of benchmarks, for the 6gb version, it seems low for 1080p/preset max settings. They seem to be hovering in the 80's, with 50 being the lowest.

At 1440p, 40-50 fps seems to be the norm with lows being in the low 30's.

What resolution are you playing at?

I play at 1080p. Decided to check for driver updates (should have done that before making this post) updated and used gefoce experience to optimize destiny and now getting around 95-110 with motion blur off and shadow quality set to lowest.

Note to self: allways update drivers.

Seems way off.
I have a i7 4790K and I can tell you it's not your CPU, it's capable of much more than that in this title.
A simple driver reinstall may fix it, usually does cure most problems,.. I'd give that a shot first. (Also remove background apps from running just in case)

Replied,...Beat me to it.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
