Amazon prime video app acting wierd.

I know this isn't related to computer programs at all, but the amazon prime video app on my phone (mi max 2) skips 30-40 seconds ahead randomly. 

I've tried playing a different movie but it doesn't help. I also reinstalled the app but it didn't work either.

If any of you guys are having the same problem or have a solution to this. 

PLZ HALP.
