Formatting my old windows SSD

fixterjake

Alrighty so I'll start with some context, I used to use a 500GB Samsung 950 Evo ssd as my boot drive. I have since bought a 960 Evo m.2 ssd and now I would like to format the 950 Evo so I can use it for my linux install. I've tried disk management as well as diskpart and both will not allow me to format the drive. If anyone could give me some guidance so that I can format this drive as I do not use any of the files on it anymore so I would like to use it for better things. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to use it as a linux drive just format it in the linux installer. You need the linux only file systems and probably something like lvm that is linux only.

What error do you get? Screenshot?
