Ryzen Setup

So I want to kind of modernize my setup, and I wanted to ask if the 1080 will bottleneck my ryzen 5 2600, and if can I OC my cpu with that cooler, or if I should just go for the i5 8600k with coolermaster hyper 212 led (more expensive though)

Nothing will bottleneck. The cooler should be good enough for you to oc a bit but imo you should probably just stick to stock and let it boost on its own. If you want more frames for a higher refresh rate monitor go for the 8600k but just stay with Ryzen to save some money

It’ll work although a 1080p 60hz monitor is pretty overkill for a 1080 but hey, whatever works :D

Ik, but the 1080 is really cheap rn and I can still upgrade cpu later

if you are purely gaming in 120hz i'd go with the 8700k, there are VERY SPECIFIC setups where the 2600 will bottleneck at higher frame rates. for 60hz, go with a 2600 with stock cooler, if you are gonna buy an AIO, i'd go with a 2700x or 8700k. I also recommend flare x ddr3200 for ryzen, notable difference in performance for 200usd spent on ram.

I'd wait until september to buy a video card, as retailers are literally begging people to buy video cards atm.

Think it'd be worth spending more on 3200 ram instead of 3000 ram?

Thats a bad combo, a second gen Ryzen with a B350 mobo?
Get a X1700 Ryzen 7 CPU that cost the same as the 2600X and get a X370 Pro to go with it, excellent combo and amazing prices.
