Need help with CPU choice under £100

Hi I know it's 2018 but I am looking for a CPU that is good for gaming but also has a ddr3 motherboard as ddr4 ram is expensive and I already have 16gb ddr3 from old pc. I mostly play Fortnite. Thank for helping. Also im looking for something under £100

I have a gtx750ti 4gb. And a  X4 845

and 16gb ddr3

I was considering the fx8350 but it has mixed reviews

8350 is junk if you don't want to spend at least 100 quid on a decent 990FX board as well. I'd look for a B85/H97 board and a cheap Xeon E3 like the 1230v3. Should cost around the 100-120 mark typically and offers 4c/8t.

If you can I’d recommend the i3 8100. 4 core 4 thread. It’s about 120$ US. That translates to less than 100 quid in the UK. If that is too much maybe try the pentium gold

You can't run DDR3 with any Coffee Lake chip, though. No boards either.

Managed to find an i7 4770 on eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-Unlocked-LGA1150-4th-Gen-Haswell-CPU/123306510907?hash=item1cb5a40a3b:g:A2MAAOSwtmBbbRvH

It's an auction though, if the price gets too high then E3 1230v3 is a good option too. I also found lots of i5 4690 under £100.

Don't go with the FX-8350, they may have 8 cores but they're slow.

I know you have ddr3 but I just built my first pc with a ryzen 3 1200 (96$) with one stick of ddr4 2666 ram and the performance is pretty good for the price. The ram was only $10 less than the cpu lol
