Hey guys, this is Ruke.

 

Today I tried out Predator, a piece of software that turns your USB into a computer key. It was easy to set up and has worked out so far. It locks down your computer completely until your USB is plugged back in or when you type in your password. It also makes your computer blare an alarm if the password is incorrect and logs the time when somebody attempted to access your computer. The log pops up as soon as you log into your computer again.

I don't really use it but it's pretty cool. I'm not supposed to game though so It's great in my case if my parents try to snoop around while I'm gone.

that would be obnoxious if I do accidentally mess up my PC's password

It lets you try again if you get it wrong the first time after about 20 seconds. Also you could turn your sound off.

You're still logged in and everything but it locks your mouse movement and blacks out your screen. You would have to shut the computer down to boot from Linux.

Use what? Linux?

I just got and am wondering if there is a way to get past it if i lose the USB

I was hoping from the title that I would be able to launch Predator drones on my enemies. Sadly not.

Doesn't seem that secure as you can restore the desktop just by reboot Windows.

But wouldn't you need to know the password to the account you're trying to access?
