Edit: Probably should be moved to Cases forum.

I really like the idea of making a PC for gaming. I am strapped for cash at the moment however. The Asrock M8 really appeals to me, but the power supply worries me. If I went in that direction I would only buy a CPU at the moment to go with it. I have lot's of hard drives lying around I can use, and a graphics card is not something I can buy right now. The barebones kit seems to fit my needs, is there any possible way you can upgrade the PSU though?

I know Linus said it could handle the highest end right now (pretty much), but it is only rated to handle a 690.

What do want to put in it?

Long term, a 780 TI, and a decent Haswell CPU.

well within a few months the 780 Ti will be replaced. I really believe that this system is more designed for 770 and i5. 780 TI will be really pushing the limit of 450W.

A 690 uses more power than the 780 Ti.

So I should be fine with putting an i5 4670, and a GTX 770 DirectCU II 4gb in this system?

Yes or even a 780, but I'm saying that the M8 was not intended for people to put the top tier components in.

Easily although I don't know why you're getting the 4GB model.
