X3470 vs core i3 2100 which has better performance at stock speed for gaming?

If you are planning to game i'd step it up to at least a 2500K. If you are on a tight budget I'd consider just saving your money for something faster.

Well, the core i7 named xeon of course.

Though that's an ancient Lynnfield, the other one is Sandybridge.

 

So that sounds like a pest vs. Cholera comperisation.
