High lag when gaming

So i have a i5 2500k processor, and i already overclocked it to 4.4 GHz, yet when i am gaming i get FPS as low as 10 in intense moments, with 100% usage. In not intense moments i get 60 FPS easily. I also have a R9 380 which doesn't get high usage, when the lag occurs. The lags where also there previous to me overclocking it. Anyone know why?

Lol dude thats so high to a 2500k thats rated on 3,3  mine was oc to 3,6 max 4... but 4,4? that i dont think that will last you long  (those 2500k built like an ak-47 )

I had a rx480 + that 2500k and there was a lot of moments that has 100% usage , ocing wont give you a solution , best solution so far to me , dont use chrome (I use opera) limit your fps, and if you play pubg try to up or low your screen scale (maybe upping can tax more the gpu and relieve stress on cpu).
