Hey guys, so basically, I want to design an awesome pc, and I want to have it planned out before I start building.

So my question is, in the Build Logs, where people have the most accurate, and beautiful renders, of what their PC is going to look like... What program(s) are being used to do that? How do you do that? Are there any tutorials to help a newbie learn? And is it actually really difficult?

(No being modest, I want to know before I start if its going to be really hard.)

Thanks in advance!

Sketchup is a good program to use for a newcomer. You can obtain it here. There are some video tutorials on the website but you probably will be able to find a lot on YouTube. It's also quite an easy program to use and get used to so you should be fine with using it.

You want to design your own case basically then i guess or something?

Not to design my own case per-say, but to be able to design what all the parts will look like, custom sleeving runs, custom paint work... That sort of thing.

Are you looking for something like this?

Yeah, something a bit like that...

Sketchup or I like to use cinema 4d, but I think you want sketchup.

Is sketchup a difficult program to learn to use?

Are there any online tutorials you'd recommend, preferably specifically related to this use scenario?

Thanks!

Sketchup isn't that hard of a program to learn. Its just like click and drag to make shapes and best of all its FREE! I can recommend this tutorial by Google: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsfH_cyXa1o oh and good luck!
