So my pc has a download rate of max 2 mb/s (thats what torrent and steam show anyway) but the thing is on other devices like my phone the download speed is 30mb/s and on my xbox its 50mb/s?? Any idea why is that? My ethernet cable isnt connected and sadly cant because the router is in another room and the TV needs the router close by. Could it be something to do with the wifi card?

Steam shows, by default, downloads in MB/s so you need to multiply it by 8 to get the speed in Mb/s

Wireless will also vary a lot depending on number of devices, distance from the router, etc.

It very well could be the wireless card, some of the older ones that I have sitting o the shelf max out at 10MB/s. But you may want to check if you are downloading in MB/s or Mb/s. There's a difference. Additionally you may check in your steam settings what download server you are connected to. They usually by default pick the closest one to you, but I have seen where they pick a weird one.

get on your pc. Go to www.speedtest.net  be confident that you now know your actual download speeds.
