Is i5 8600k+ 1070 ti a good combo, or will the cpu bottleneck it?

It is a good combo, but the 1070ti is a waste of money.  The 1080 costs the same and it's way better when overclocked. https://pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=367&X=0,53527
