Actually i am building a new PC. Which is having 16 gb ram, I7 8700k (or maybe I5 8600k) Paired with GTX 1070 TI

Will any of the parts bottleneck each other.

No, all those parts are high end and they should run brilliantly

There will always be bottlenecks!

No matter what you do.

But the 8700K (or the 8600k) will not hold back the 1070 Ti all that much.

For all games 16GB's of RAM will do fine.

But remember, a bottleneck is normal on a PC.

A tight bottleneck is the real issue.

No such thing as no bottleneck, but you will be able to use all of the 1070 Ti power at 1080p+ gaming, which is good.

There always is a bottleneck in your system. In this case, a 1070Ti would bottleneck the 8700K, because it wouldn't "unleash" the full performance that the 8700K can offer in games for example.

It's a decent setup, but unless you plan on hardcore overclocking, I suggest you save some money and go for the i7-8700 or a Ryzen 7 2700(X), if you choose the 8700K then you're forced to buy a higher-end Z370 motherboard and an aftermarket cooler to make the 8700K a sensible purchase at all.

With an i7-8700 for example you can get a cheap B360 motherboard and use the stock cooler (although a 10$ aftermarket one would be quieter), and use that leftover money to buy a GTX 1080 for example. Same goes for the Ryzen 7 2700 or the 2700X, they come with even better stock coolers and can be overclocked even on cheaper B350 motherboards and the overall platform cost should be lower so you can buy a more powerful GPU instead.

  • 2 weeks later...

A couple of points:

  • What are your performance goals? If you're aiming for 1080p 60FPS with high quality presets or higher, then either part can do just that.
  • Is there a performance bottleneck? If the goal is to have the GPU at or as close to 100% as possible most of the time, then no, there's no performance bottleneck per se. Technically the GPU is the bottleneck, but as long as it's spitting out frame rates you want, then it's not a problem
